Computing

 Intent

Our pupils will have a broad and deep understanding of how computing links to their own lives and experiences.  They will develop analytical problem-solving skills and learn to evaluate and apply information technology. Underpinned by our whole-school commitment to helping our pupils to be equipped to become responsible members of a 21st Century society, our pupils will be empowered to be competent, confident and creative users of information technology. They will develop a love of the digital world and see its place in their future.

Good programmers know what to write. Great ones know what to rewrite and reuse.

Implementation

Our Computing curriculum encapsulates the National Curriculum and is designed to show and enable the progression of skills and knowledge from Early Years through to Year 6. We organise this teaching and learning across a two-year cycle to cater for our mixed-age classes.
