Intent
Our pupils will think like historians. They will understand that history is a chronological narrative of real people in real places who lived in the past, and will recognise that they themselves are the people who will shape the future.
A people without knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.

Implementation
Our History curriculum encapsulates the National Curriculum and is designed to show and enable the progression of skills and knowledge from Early Years through to Year 6. We organise this teaching and learning across a two-year cycle to cater for our mixed-age classes.
